Warrior of Love
This world can be dark, scary, mean, ugly and cruel. People everywhere are hurting and cannot seem to stop. People are cruel to others and persecute them. But I am going to let you in on a little secret--the secret to what makes the world go round, what brings magic and madness to our lives, what brings happiness and joy, and sometimes sorrow--one of the most wonderful things ever. LOVE.Love, pure and rare love is something that most people have never experienced. But I thank God that I have. I have a life full of love and loving people. However, love is not always easy, it is not always happy, and it is not always beautiful. Sometimes love can cause hurt and it can be messy. But guess what--it is worth it.I think this world puts love into a little box; trying to describe what "appropriate" love looks like, what "acceptable" love looks like. Well I am here to tell you love is an incredible and unpredictable force that should never be given limits. LOVE HAS NO LIMITS. There is no nice little box of love. It is just splattered everywhere, all over the world, in our hearts, and in the very air we breath. God is love. All the love we have been given comes from God.I am going to let you in on an even bigger secret...in this world when it seems that dark and evil are going to win look into your hearts and there should be a little ember glowing. If you take that little glowing ember and spread it, it will grow into a huge fire that will set the world aflame. Because friends--love is going to win, it always has and always will. We know the end of the story--good wins. Our strongest weapons are our loving hearts.Our hearts may get bruised and battered along the way; our hearts cannot handle the world alone they need that extra special something that only God can provide. But my friends love is worth it. To love and be loved are two of the most special and treasured things in life. You have to be vulnerable and you have to sometimes get hurt, but you cannot be afraid. I promise love is worth it. Love is simply love--there are no boundaries and should be no labels. It cannot just be simply defined into romantic love, that is what most people think today. And if you think that you are only limiting yourself to the endless possibilities of love there are. Don't try and limit love. Let yourself be vulnerable, in a weak moment you might regret it but in the long run you never ever will.I think that I might have found my calling in life. I am going to be honest, I have never thought highly of myself--I never thought that I should or could. But I am here to tell you that we are all special and no one should think poorly of yourself. You cannot love others fully until you fully love you. I finally can say I love me. And I am favored--I think that I am to be a warrior of love for this world. Love needs defending and armed with my heart and my God I just might be able to make a difference.1 John 4:7-21 (Not all is written out here--go look up the whole passage)Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love....God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because he first loved us....I think one of my favorite lines from this is: "there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear."Friends love one another, be brave in doing so, and trust in the Lord--he will protect and love you.May the peace and the love of Jesus Christ be with you all.
