Exciting Times

So after my rough day yesterday, I had an absolutely great day today! My younger cousin has been going through Recruitment (Rush) this week, at Wofford, one of the most stressful times of a young woman's life, and calling me every night for advice. I have been a Greek woman since my freshmen year at Presbyterian College and this year had the honor of being a Pi Chi, a non-affiliated and non-biased adviser to women going through the process. Throughout this week she has called me seeking my advice and support and I am so incredibly proud and happy to say that she ran home to her sisters today! Her happiness has brought me so much joy! She deserves an incredible experience and I am so happy that she found the place she can call home. My Greek experience has not necessarily been a wonderful one, however, I am incredibly thankful for it, because now as a senior I look back and see that I am a stronger and better woman because of everything that has happened to me. And my hope for my cousin (and all women who have recently gone Greek) is that she has the wonderful experience I did not have, but also that she continues to grow and learn from all her experiences, good and bad.XOXOMargaret
